A Pinteresting We Will Go
Can I just say that Pinterest is amazing?? I have found so many nursing resources on there its unbelievable. I'm not even applying to nursing school yet but I already know what scholarships to apply to and have helpful tips for the NCLEX when that time comes. I've also found some great math resources that will hopefully help me finally understand math. 9 classes, 9 small little classes is all I have left to finish before I can finally apply to nursing school. 3 Math, 5 Science and 1 Nutrition class is all that stands in my way. Well that and finances. Just this term alone i'm only taking one class and i'm out $425 for tuition and $130 for my textbook. I'm literally about to make a cardboard sign and stand on an offramp in order to help pay my way. I've maxxed out my loans and almost maxxed out my grants, so the next step is to try to find scholarships or hopefully get on with a hospital in order to recieve tuition reimbursement. LOL I seriously asked my parents if my grandma had some secret trust fund for me to help pay for nursing school. Of course the answer was no but hey its worth a shot right??? I really wish I could afford to take more than one class at a time and maybe in a couple months I will be able to. But for now its a single class a term which means it will take 9 terms or a little over 2 years to finish my final prerequisites if everything goes to plan with my math and science credits. However if I can somehow afford to take 2 classes a term that means 1 can get them done in a year or less! In the meantime I am greatful to be taking classes again and any positive thoughts to help me get a passing grade in my math class would be greatly appreciated!!! :) 2015 watch out!

2015 Is My Year
On Janaury 5th 2015 my journey to nursing school resumes after taking a little over a year off to regather myself. A lot has changed that is for sure, i've taken a job as a server after finding that medical assisting jobs are not that easy to come by even after i've submitted countless applications. My goal of working for providence came true and them abruptly ended a month after I began working there. Needless to say that disappointment will not hinder me from re-applying to providence and hopefully working there again. As for school, I have 9-12 classes left, I give that varience because well, every school is different, and depending where I apply will determine if I have to take 3 chemistry classes and what appears to be no biology classes or 1 biology class and 1 chemistry class. I'm starting off slow and only taking 1 class per term for now, mostly because of cost. As I have used up all of my loan possilibities I am paying for my classes out of pocket for now until I win the lottery or a scholarship, whichever comes first, and since I don't buy lottery tickets I won't win unless one magically appears in my pocket with the winning numbers. LOL. I am excited, 2015 is going to be my year, I thought 2014 was going to be but throughout the highs and lows of this year i've determined that next year will be my year, i'll be turning 30 (eek) starting classes again, and finally getting my butt in gear to get into nursing school! I'm not getting any younger and I don't want to be in limbo for forever in my studies!! 2015 watch out i'm coming for you!
